Bruneaux
An upscale restaurant with a French-inspired menu, Bruneaux blended a sleek, modern American look with a classic ambience and optimized energy performance. The result was a unique dining experience that also returned value to its owners through energy efficiency and streamlined design. A refreshed facade–simple but elegant–gave Bruneaux a sophisticated air and hinted at the stylish interiors, where a pearl gray-and-oyster mosaic wall complimented the bartop and the varying shades of white throughout. An open state-of-the-art kitchen gave diners a view of the intricate process of preparing such dishes as Sole Meuniere and lamb with chimichurri.
An upholstered Parisian banquette acknowledged the French cultural influence while providing flexibility to accommodate dining groups of all sizes. To give Bruneaux an atmosphere of warmth and intimacy, decorative pendant lighting was scattered throughout the dining area.
The newly landscaped rear patio boasted a modern style that incorporated traditional materials, including a natural stone fireplace. It also featured radiant heated concrete, a low-energy feature that made enjoying the night air in cooler temperatures a pleasant option. In 2017, Bruneaux received a glowing review from Pittsburgh City Paper.
